    I. Purpose

    The company, Uniti Group Inc., through its business units, Uniti Wholesale and Uniti Solutions (hereinafter “Uniti”), operates in Canada and is committed to making its services accessible to the entire community in a way that promotes equality and strives to prevent and remove barriers that limit equitable access to all people. Uniti is dedicated to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities effectively and efficiently in order to create an accessible user experience. This Accessibility Plan (“Plan”) is meant to provide guidance for the development of processes and procedures related to the implementation of products, services, and platform engagements

    II. Principles

    Uniti has developed this Plan in accordance with the Telecom and Broadcasting Regulatory Policy (CRTC 2021-215) – The Canadian Radio television and Telecommunications Commission Accessibility Reporting Regulations and Accessible Canada Regulations: (SOR/2021-241) pursuant the Accessible Canada Act (ACA). Uniti supports the principles contained in the ACA and considers the following as it implements its Plan:

    • Everyone must be treated with dignity;
    • Everyone must have the same opportunity to make for themselves the life they are able and wish to have;
    • Everyone must be able to participate fully and equally in society;
    • Everyone must have meaningful options and be free to make their own choices, with support if
      they desire;
    • Laws, policies, programs, services, and structures must consider the ways that different kinds of
      barriers and discrimination intersect;
    • Persons with disabilities must be involved in the development and design of laws, policies,
      programs, services, and structures; and
    • Accessibility standards and regulations must be made with the goal of achieving the highest level
      of accessibility.

    III. Scope

    a. EMPLOYEES

    This Plan applies to all Uniti employees responsible for developing, designing, managing, maintaining, and auditing the websites, website portals, mobile applications, products and services maintained and developed by Uniti.

    b. SERVICES

    This Plan applies to telecommunications services offered by Uniti including VoIP data services, video conferencing services, fiber wholesale and transport, as well as the tools that support these services including but not limited to: Uniti websites, U Connect Portal, and other mobile applications. Additionally, these obligations extend to telecommunication services or products acquired from a third-party provider, as applicable.

    c. USERS

    This Plan applies to Uniti users, prospective users, and website and/or mobile application visitors.

    d. PRIORITY AREAS

    a. Information and Communication Technologies
    Uniti delivers managed connectivity, communications and security solutions to its customers. The Company’s advanced communications services and products are accessible by persons with disabilities. As discussed further in the Design and Delivery of Program and Services section, Uniti continues to identify barriers and implement measures consistent with the principles of the ACA and its Plan.

    b. Communication other than IT
    Uniti works closely with its partners and internal creative teams to ensure our digital brand presence and advanced communications services and products adhere to accessibility guidelines and requirements so that persons with disabilities can access and understand all of the critical information therein.

    c. Procurement of Goods and Services
    Uniti requires all of its underlying providers to comply with a Supplier Code of Ethics. The company continually evaluates its accessibility requirements and Supplier Code of Ethics to meet the standards contained in this Plan.

    d. Design and Delivery of Program and Services Design and Delivery of Program and Services
    The Plan applies to Uniti’s telecommunications services including VoIP data
    services, video conferencing services and the tools that support the services.
    Additionally, these obligations extend to telecommunication services or products Uniti may acquire from a third-party provider. Uniti strives to ensure its products and services are routinely enhanced to provide more accessibility. Uniti continues to develop a compliance checklist in accordance with industry guidance to be utilized before any new product, service, or update is deployed in order to ensure and optimize accessibility. Unit aims to utilize this procedure alongside product management and development as well as web content creation

    IV. General

    The specific implementation of this Plan consists of discrete areas that must all be met in order to comply with the ACA and the Purpose of this Plan as outlined above.

    In addition, Uniti will provide a copy of this Plan to any member of the public upon request, and in alternative formats including print, large print, braille, audio format, electronic format that is compatible with adaptive technology that is intended to assist persons with disabilities, or any other format agreed upon by the requestor and Uniti agree upon.

    b. CONSULTATIONS

    In the formation of this Plan, recent Progress Reports, and in updates to this Plan, Uniti has consulted with persons with disabilities to promote these outlined principles. Uniti will continue to facilitate the engagement of and consultation with a person or persons with disabilities to address how its services, website and mobile applications accessibility may be improved to be more accommodating, and Uniti will incorporate those suggestions as it improves accessibility.

    c. ACCESSIBILITY COORDINATOR

    Uniti has designated an Accessibility Coordinator as the contact for issues related to accessibility. The Accessibility Coordinator will receive feedback on behalf of Uniti and streamline a process to adequately respond to and address accessibility concerns. The Accessibility Coordinator will help meet the objectives contained in this Plan.

    d. PROGRESS REPORTS

    Uniti will provide progress reports to CRTC and Canada’s Accessibility Commissioner as needed or upon request. Previously Published Progress Reports are published alongside this updated Plan.
